The Beginning
In a world where hope struggles against despair, a small creature awakens inside a mysterious maze with only one goal:
Find a way out.
Armed only with a mysterious device called D.O.D.I. and the heartfelt letters left behind by its mother, every step forward becomes a battle against fear.
Each letter is a reminder to keep moving, even when everything seems lost.
A mother's words can guide a child.
But inspiration can come from anyone who encourages us to learn, to create, and to never give up.
With every letter you uncover, one question becomes harder to ignore:
Is the maze truly the prison... or is the real danger waiting outside?
DON'T LEAVE is a psychological horror experience where every discovery reveals another piece of the truth.
Every step. Every message. Every choice brings you closer to an ending that may not be what you expect.
A Note About the Maze
The maze is intentionally designed to feel mysterious and disorienting.
The map does not reveal everything clearly, and the starting point is not always obvious after exploring and rotating the map. This is a deliberate design choice intended to make exploration and discovering the maze part of the experience.
The maze may seem confusing at first, but it is not as difficult as it might appear. As you explore, you will gradually become more familiar with its layout and learn how to find your way through it.
Getting lost is part of the journey.
A Personal Note
There is also a personal story behind the release of DON'T LEAVE that I would like to share.
For a long time, I have struggled with OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder). One of the ways it has affected my life is by making it extremely difficult for me to share files, projects, and things I have created with other people.
Whenever I learned something that required me to publish or share what I had created, fear, doubt, and obsessive thoughts would often stop me. This happened repeatedly as I explored different fields, including application development, game development, and other areas of technology.
I could learn. I could create. But sharing what I had created with others was something I struggled to do.
Releasing DON'T LEAVE was not easy for me. Because of my OCD, sharing this game with other people was a difficult step, and there were moments when fear and doubt made me want to stop.
DON'T LEAVE is the first project in my life that I have been able to share with other people despite that struggle.
And honestly, I feel very happy about that.
Being able to finally share something I created after struggling with this for so long is a meaningful achievement for me. It may seem like a simple thing to others, but for me, it represents a step I once found extremely difficult to take.
For that reason, releasing this game means more to me than simply publishing my first game. It is a personal step forward — something I am genuinely proud of, and genuinely happy to have accomplished.
I am sharing this part of my story because I know how difficult the struggle with OCD can be. I am not sharing this as medical advice, nor am I trying to tell anyone how they should deal with OCD. I am simply sharing my own experience and what I have been through.
I also know that some people feel ashamed, embarrassed, or uncomfortable talking about it, and may choose to keep their struggles to themselves.
There is nothing shameful about talking about what you are going through. You are not alone in facing struggles that other people may not see.
And this is not the end of that story.
If DON'T LEAVE receives enough support and feedback, I would like to create another game in the future that tells the story of my own struggle with OCD.
That would be a separate project, focused much more directly on my experience, the challenges I have faced, and what it has been like to live through this struggle.
For now, DON'T LEAVE represents something different to me: the first time in my life that I was able to take something I created, face the fear of sharing it, and finally let other people experience what I made.
For the first time, I can look at something I created and feel genuinely happy knowing that I was able to share it with others.
Thank you for playing, supporting, and being part of this journey.

hello, I have played your game and it is very interesting but no matter how hard I have tried I have not been able to open the exit door, I could not find the key and I went through the entire maze, I did not see monsters either, which leads me to think that perhaps it is at a very early stage of development, just because I can't finish it I won't be able to upload the gameplay to YouTube but the game has potential and I will definitely give it another chance, thanks for sending me the link. a hug
